We call "props" to the bits that make up the map. Here we will only list the ones that affects gameplay in some way:

This article is a stub. You can help Dead by Daylight Wiki by expanding it.

* Dark Mist: The dark mist is some kind of ever present fog which makes seeing a lot harder for both, the killer and the survivors. It can be tweaked burning some offerings.

* Windows: The standar hole-in-a-wall. As a survivor you can quickly vault over it, but it will make some noise. On the other hand the killer wouldn't make any noise when vaulting, but it will take more time to him.

* Engines: The main objectives during a match, the survivors should strive to fix them up as quick as possible. A skill check may trigger while the survivor is fixing it, if failed the engine will explode making some noise. More than one survivor can be reapairing the same engine at the same time, improving the time needed to fix it. Once fully repaired the light on top of it will shine and a visual cue will appear in the killer vision.

* Exit Gates: Your way out of this nightmare. When the match start all gates are deactivated, and the survivors will need to fix a number of engines in order to activate them. Once all the required engines are repaired the survivors have to open the gate, intereacting with the control panel at one side of the gate.

* Hatch: The Holy Grail of the survivors. The hatch start the match closed, and it will only unlocks in two cases: if a survivor with the skeleton key equipped interacts with it, or if there is only one alive survivor.

* Basement: The killer playgrounds, plagued with meathooks and only one way in/out. Survivors gets bonus points by staying in the basement for some time AND then going out (on their own foot). The killer may improve the meat hooks in the basement via some perks.

* Wood Pallet: Survivor's main tool to escape from the killer. As a survivor you can always put down a pallet in order to block a path at the cost of some noise. If the killer is very close to the pallet when the survivor put it down, he will get stunned for a 1-2 seconds. The killer can break a pallet if it is blocking his way.

* Ravens: These winged friends will fly as soon as any player (the killer or the survivors) get close to them, making a bit of noise.

* Meat Hooks: The killer's favourite toy. Use it as a killer to hang your prey and sacrifice it to the entity. As a survivor, if you are hanging from one, you start to lose health at a slow rate. You can try to disengage yourself from it, at the cost of 25% of your max health each try. When your health reach 25%, the entity is ready to get your soul and some black spikes growing from the hook will try to stab your body. You can still resist for some time pressing spacebar. Survivors always can unhook a friend survivor by getting close to him and holding left click.

* Locker: A double door, red cabinet. Survivors can use them to hide from the killer at the cost of some noise.

* Moonlight Your only source of light during a match, it can be tweaked via offerings to make it brighter.
